Ridiculous hypothetical
Let's pretend for a minute that you a professional fisherman and you have sponsors. You can pick one company to sponsor you for each tackle category. In other words, you can only use stuff from that brand for all of you fishing needs. 1 for jigs, 1 for soft baits, 1 for reels, etc...
Jigs Spinnerbaits/wire baits Soft baits Hard baits Reels Rods Hooks Weights Line I'm really just curious as to how many of you have brand preferences and what they are. Feel free to add boats, motors, electronics and whatever else you feel like including. Pick one company for each category and you have to use that brand for everything in that category.

Jigs-Bitty
Spinnerbaits-Double barrell bass busters Soft baits -zoom Hard baits - lucky craft Reels- Abu Garcia Rods -Kistler Hooks-Gamakatsu line -Power pro boat -Allison-dream on if you think they will give you one outboard- OMC/Yammer that order tow vehicle -Dodge of course.if I want to drive a truck and have it ride like a car take a chevy,if you tow something take a dodge, then you can always tow the chevy back I fish T,but believe all T should have a 150 hp restriction, along with a 500 lb weight restriction,if it cant run with that doesnt need to be made.Just a personal slant or opinion. |

This is tough but I think I would be set with using only these manufacturers. The soft baits would definitely be the hardest.
Jigs - Dirty Jigs My 2 favorite custom jig makers have either stopped making jigs or are on hiatus. Spinnerbaits/wire baits - War Eagle Soft baits - Zoom Hard baits - Lucky Craft Reels - Daiwa Rods - St. Croix (rods and rod blanks) Hooks - Gamakatsu Weights - TD Tungsten Line - Sunline

This is a tough one, because there are variables. Like hard body lures for example. My favorite crankbait may not be made by the same company as my favorite topwater. Which it isn't.
Jigs- Dirty Jjigs Spinnerbaits-Strike King Soft baits-Strike King, although I really want to include Reaction Innovation and Yum. Hard baits- Lucky Craft if I have to be stuck with just one choice. Reels-Garcia Rods-St Croix Line-Sufix overall, although I really love PLine Flouroclear. Hooks-Mustad Not listing anything for weights since TruTungstin isn't made anymore.

Yeah, if anything this exercise underlines the fact that for me, I am not very brand loyal. Garcia is the only company I feel loyalty to.

Jigs - I like my own. Other than that, one of the other good custom companies out there like Dirty Jigs or NorthStar.
Spinnerbaits/wire baits - Strike King Soft baits - Berkley (Powerbait if we're being more specific about it) Hard baits - Too many to choose from, but probably LC. Reels - Daiwa Rods - Dobyns Hooks - Owner Weights - Don't even know anymore... someone who makes a quality tungsten weight like TruTungsten used to. Line - Toss up between Sunline and Seaguar. BB

That’s easy for me it would be Sufix line and the add would be like the old Soloflex bodybuilding set. You remember those poster with a ripped man or woman and the poster would read “Body by Soloflex”…. Well my advertisement would be a picture of me in a wife beater holding two ten pound bass by my side and the poster would read……”Body by Sufix” I’d have to get ripped for the add of course!
