Hmmmmm... Topwater: Super Spook Jr., Tiny Torpedo, Pop 'R Shallow crank: Various Medium crank: Shad Rap, Bomber, Wiggle Wart Deep crank: DD14, DD22 (hate using them). Lipless crank: Rat'lin Rap Spinnerbait: Rebbasser's home brews, Booyah, Terminator,Strike King. Buzzbait: Booyah Soft Stick: Wave Tiki, 4-5-inch, often weedless wacky-rigged. 6-7inch worm: Power Worm, Zoom U-tail, Zoom Trick. Other softies: 10-inch Power Worm, 4-inch Power Worm, 4-inch Ringworm, Zoom Finesse worm, Zoom and 3X Flukes, Tubes. Critters: Super Brush Hog, Spider Grubs. There are others, of course, and we bassers are as prone to fads and "fashion" trends, much the same as are the ladies. My tackle bag weighed so much as 60 pounds until about a week ago. Rebbasser can attest to that. I spent several days last week "slimming it down" to maybe 38 pounds, of which I will probably use 8 ounces on any given trip . BTW, this is my first post here. Good friend Rebbasser recommended this site and I'm honored to be here as well as to be his friend and fishing bud. (Even if he IS an Aggie!) F. Rod Boomer Sooner! |

Fellas, Flyrod is a good fisherman and an even better friend. He'll fit in real well around here, believe me. About time you showed up!

Shallow crank- Assorted Medium crank-glass rap Deep crank-Rat-l-trap or a rapala Spinnerbait- I guess the brand doesn't matter that much, but I generally fish Strike Kings (Mainly b/c I can get 'em at Walmart) Hard jerkbait- suspending yo-zuri crystal minnow Soft Jerkbait- Baby bass colored super fluke, or occasionally a trout killer in pearl Worm- All zooms, and some 3x's Other plastics- Occasional scum frog, tikis and senkos Buzzbait- any triblade is good Popper- Rebel Pop-r or an excalibur popn image definitely NOT a storm chug bug, I despise these Other topwater-Zara spook

Welcome Flyrod, I'll bet you don't like those DD22 because they are so hard to retrieve on a flyrod. Maybe you might try a baitcaster. JK

Bassguy, I haven't ever seen him handle a flyrod, but he can use a baitcaster with the best of them.

There are others, of course, and we bassers are as prone to fads and "fashion" trends, much the same as are the ladies. (end quote).... well you'll be happy to know that unlike these women you seem to know so well....i own more tackle than i do clothes....my wardrobe includes a mass assortment of fishing t-shirts.....i own 3 pairs of shoes....and one purse....i'd rather have new tackle than a diamond ring there son....give me a boat and water to launch it in and i'm happy.....so there....now that i have schooled you in the ways of a "true" fishing woman....i'll say hello and welcome to the "nut" house forum....tons of great guys and a few gals on here....all have good ideas...and well JB...he's got not only good ideas but he's also full of plenty of insite into the dark side.....so let's just say that it's a place for "all" to learn, teach, and vent.....now let's go fishin......whooohooooo.....aww dang i forgot i gotta move tonight....but i'll be on the water by sunday i swear....lol.....
