Congrats - Is this your first? Rapala is a nice name for a girl or maybe Airrus... How about Caster for a boy? I'm sure your wife will love these names!

had a friend once who got his girlfriend pregnant due to "faulty protection", he named the kid (a boy) Justin Case. He said that would be a permanent reminder to always bring a back up! lol

Thanks FlyRod! I can't wait until he/she is born. When my first daughter was born it was a spiritual experience. I think any father who was there for the birth of their child knows what I'm talking about.

				 | Quote:
Barb's water broke as my buddy Paul and I were "suiting up" to go the ceremony. Paul panicked and tried to put his left arm into the right sleeve of MY Class A's jacket, screaming "I...we...she...having a baybeeeee!" We drove up in front of Ireland Army Hospital (in my new VW bug) and I got out and began to assist Barb in exiting the vehicle. Paul ejected from the back seat and ran to the entrance, yelling "Emergency! We're having a baby!!!" A large female(?) Army Nursing Corps Major came out, took one look and said "She can't be having a baby, she doesn't look more than five months pregnant." To which Barb (my "Starter" wife, BTW,) replied "Stick around and watch." They bundled her into a wheelchair. Paul kissed her on one cheek and I on the other. Paul and I headed for Boudinot Hall to join the rest of the 120 2Lts. Paul told EVERYONE, including General Irby, that "WE" were having a baby. After the ceremony, over 50 young Panzer officers, many accompanied by their wives, trooped into the hospital, led by General Irby, to find that "WE" had, indeed, had a baby. That bull-dyke Major was, like "WTF " My son, BTW, retired from the US Navy last summer after 21.5 years of service to this nation...at age 39. It was lucky that I had come onto active service with some spare $$$ (lots of trumpet gigs in college, plus being a guide at a wealthy dude's ranch.) 'cause my cigar bill and bar tab at the O Club, that night, were eeeeeenormous. Again, PK, my sincerest best wishes to you, your wife, and the new arrival. I can tell that you are the right man for the "Daddy" job. May all go well. FlyRod Offering advice-free commentary since... (I'ze in ur OB ward, deliverin' ur baby.) | |

Congrats man. Get as much fishing in now before he/she comes. Babies kind of take alot of fishing time away. My daughter turns 1 year old next week. June 22. I kind of liked "Trigger" for a boy. Wife didn't think so. I know exactly what you are saying about being there for the birth. Best thing i have ever been apart of.
