'88 2.4 175hp drop on (Merc)
Complete drop on powerhead. New rings,bearings,carb kits,40 amp charge, horizontal reed motor. Compression at 135 +/- a couple pounds. This thing has that "SOUND" and "RESPONSE" of a being very stout for a 175. $1500 plus mail............T

Damn Alley you didnt even gimme time to get ahold of a buddy of mine that coulda used that. LOL but hey glad to see ya got it that quick. Keep this in mind when you doing boat stuff. I am looking for either a rebuildable V6 135 Merc or one at a good price or a rebuildable 140 V4. I can still insure with those 2 motors but at the same time I can yank em apart and stir up those ponies that are laying around doing nothing.

Ok bud. I will holler at my friend today and let him know. I assume compr. will be around same right. He just bought a 18ft Laser Limited hull and has a good running 175 Mariner Mag lll onit but the motor is somewhat tired. He bought the boat I have been trying to buy for the last 5 years. Damn thing is I didnt know that he and the previous owner wherecousins or he wouldnt have gotten to buy it anyways.

Don't know yet. Gonna have tha stock, uncut heads on it. Probably 120 ta 125. Tha one that just sold had 34cc heads..........T
