				 | Line kept in the Fridge????

Good afternoon to everyone, my question is this, I was at my faher-n-laws and was helping him clean out his fridge and found about nine spools of line and when I asked him why and he said that that is the best way to make line keep. I was wandering if anyone else has heard of this or does it? Or is it my father-n-law getting Dementia? lol. |

I was reading Bass the other night and someone asked Uncle Homer the same question. His answer was not to keep it in the fridge. He said to keep it away from moisture and to keep it in a dry, dark area. I used to always kept mine about the same way. Before I started bass fishing most of my line was on my reels. This was before I knew about the importence of line condition. Anyway, I had the same line on my reels for years with no problems. Rhey were usually stored in the cellar or garage. Now I always check my lines and change when needed.

I keep it in a hall closet-dark and cool. Never had a problem.

I just keep it in a cool dark place...... As far as the moonshine goes ...better be careful on that ....lot of times methanol turns up in that stuff....be a blind fisherman. |
