If you could pick only ONE color of soft plastic worms to use, what would it be?

kind of a tough question, every bait co has minor differences in what they offer and the name it goes by. to answer as simply as i can, something in a watermelon green pumpkin. |

so far i've produced on pumpkin seed finesse.. but last year they were all caught on tequila shad or grape shad.. i didnt start fishing pumpkin seed till the begining of this year, so idk if its just one of those winter/spring baits, or is it year-around but based on my year- around production last year, i'd say tequila or grape shad

its based more on water color than the time of year...ive been tryin to learn as much as i can about water color, and from what i have learned, i would GUESS that pumpkin seed is more of a color u fish in light stained water...someone please correct me if im wrong cuz im still tryin to learn about this.

It was on a poll on either Field & Stream or Bassmaster, but most of the pros and anglers said green pumpkin, including myself. It's a very natural color and many creatures have this color.

Watermelon (Yamasenko) with lg black/sm red flakes (color #208) for me. I had excellent luck last year fishing in very clear water with this color. I did all my fishing in two bodies of water last year. One was a 32-acre pond with a maximum depth of 14 feet and water clarity of 13 feet. The other was a 1200-acre lake where the average depth is less than 20 feet, the water clarity is 16 feet, and we did 95% of our fishing in 15 feet or less. |
