				 | Cold Weather gloves

With colder/freezing temperatures blowing through many parts of the country, I am wanting to buy some gloves to wear out fishing. Does anyone have any recommendations for some really warm/waterproof fishing gloves?

I wear something like these glomitts if it is not too cold, 40-50s. When it gets real cold I switch over to waterproof hunting gloves from Gander Mt. And when it gets real cold I add a hand warmer in them. I still have not found a glove that is warm and allows you the dexterity to do all the things you need to do when fishing. |

I use BPS's neoprene gloves. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st..._SearchResults I used them one while fishing in the cold, and then again not too long ago for some photography outside in the cold and wind. I've yet to try them ice fishing, or in the rain, but so far they've worked great. BB

They arn't waterproof, but I use a pair of mechanics gloves. They are tight fitting and off a lot of dexterity.

I wear these gloves, not the warmest things in the world but with a hand warmer I do not think you can find any more mobility in a glove. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st..._SearchResults

you can't go wrong with artic shield gloves. they keep your hand warm and dry and are very light weight . most importantly they are windproof. it doesn't matter how waterproof a glove is if it isn't windproof. trust me, it gets cold and windy on lake of the ozarks this time of year. available at bass pro shops for around 20 to 30 bucks .

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I went out this weekend with a pair of Under Armour gloves and they worked pretty well. They held up against the wind, but I can tell if they were to get wet I would be in for some hurtin. I'll have to check some of these out when I get a chance.

I wear the Under Armour. They are nice for fishing because they are light and let you feel bites. However, when they get wet, they are pretty useless. I usually keep a neoprene close by for taking the fish off the hook.

http://www.google.com/products?q=und...N&hl=en&tab=wf After trying a few gloves I've found the one that I don't need to remove them while using a baitcaster. Good grip and warm. Bought at Dick's after tried them on. |
