I hate winter!

This is getting unbearable.
I've read half of the articles on bass fishing at Bass Pro Shops, I'm cruisin this board all day and to top it off, the monkey is hiding in my lazy susan, just waiting for me to go downstairs for my morning coffee every day.
Somethin's gotta give!

MM some of the ponds here melted last week now their froze again. I was going to go last weekend but had company. Ya the monkey is pestering me to buy a reel for my Cumara.

TN_B, that sounds so strange, hearing of a storm for you guys. I lived there for a few months while I was in the navy. They got a pretty good storm while I was there. Didn't phase me much though

Yeah bassin, the monkey never sleeps. On a good note though, if the monkey's gonna attack, this is the best time of the year to appease it.

I actually stuck my memory card in my TV earlier to re-visit my fishin holes. Not really a good idea

It snowed here last night and todays high will be 14 degrees. I feel your pain. We've got another 7 weeks easily before we can even think about bass fishing here.

Bad storm coming through back home in Oklahoma. Misery loves company and seeing other people suffer through the winter helps me a little bit. Thanks for sharing!

I've got almost 12 weeks. Immediate catch and release doesn't start until April 24th

I feel bad complaining, all our water is still liquid here in TX. The fishing still sucks but at least I can fish! The bait monkey has been attached to me at the hip here lately! I can't leave the house without going in a tackle shop or sporting goods store, he's bleeding me dry!!

Two weeks ago we had snow arshole deep to a Giraffe and more snow this weekend I cant wait till spring.

Haha! Had to run to town earlier. Once I got the things I HAD to do, out of the way, I did something I wanted to do.

i hate the second half of winter...everything but small game hunting is closed so i can't hunt or fish......think i'm gonna have to take up ice fishing as well to get me through the second half of winter.

Next weekend is supposed to get up into the 40's. Pretty sad that I'm excited about 40's. At least I'll be able to hit the local pond again.

You guys are lucky. Bass season here in MN doesn't open until May 29 this year.

It's not even legal to intentionally fish for them until then.

Ours starts May 29th also, but we have and Immediate Catch & Release season that runs April 24th-May 28th.
Pretty much all the same season to me, since I release em anyway.

I've decided to change it up this year. Last year I didn't go out until bass season opened. Or maybe it was the week before......
This year, I'm gonna hit a couple lakes that are known for big bluegill and crappie.
I plan on making the Michigan Master Angler list with at least 3 different species. That would notch 2 of em before bass fishin even starts. Although, if I did qualify those 2 fish, I really should up my goal to 4 species
