The local Academy Sports had Cotton Cordel Spots for 99 cents apiece. Limited sizes & colors but still a deal. I bought a couple.

For a buck...it's really hard to go wrong. As long as the hooks are good, buy a bunch and make sure to get a new 3700 box just for traps.
