Sometimes you wonder why after all the hard work you end up with a day like that.

After 5.5 hours of fishing, I'll take anything that bites. Way to stick after it.

I did the same thing today. It started out slow but after about an hour I hooked a 20 inch cat fish on spider wire and a spinner bait. Needless to say my ultralight was screaming. I quickly put on one 14 inch large mouth and that was it for the rest of the day. At least the weather was great and I didn't break anything. I can deal with few bites provided I come off the water without breaking something new.

Sounds allot like the kinda day I had, Ebbetts. It was still a pleasure being out on the water, sharing company with a good friend. We'll get them next time. -Mark |

Im almost certain that if you leave the lake due to responsibilities of life or quit fishing for the day in good faith before catching anything, then it doesnt count as being skunked. Unless its to go shopping with your wife. haha |
