				 | Very Productive Day w/ pictures

I went out a couple times this weekend for about five hours total caught 3 LMBs, 4 Chain Pickerels and a couple SMBs. Decided only to bring my casting gear with me so that I would get more comfortable with it. I know all the spots around my end of the lake where I can take my spinning gear and drop shot all day and catch plenty of smallies. So I felt like I needed to change gears and locate some shallow, grassy areas to find large mouths. I looked on my topo map and found a bay that I previously knew had some good grass cover but I have never fished. Saturday night I caught my biggest of the year, 19'', I don't have a scale but I would assume at least 4 #. My dad and I also got a lot accomplished with my jon boat project. We cut out all the wood for the casting deck, support, floor board and side panels and put a coat of spar urethane on them. I am very pleased with the progress and it should be done in about a month. Couldn't ask for a better weekend weather and fishing wise. P.S. Anthony those were all on the Citica I got from you. It performs very well and I am more than pleased with it. |
