Exceler is a good reel, uses Diawa's Magforce Z braking. This reel used to be talked about in the same circles as the Citica and PQ.

I've got one. It's a good reel and has served me well for a long time. It's size and shape palms really well too. If you aren't used to Daiwa reels, turn the mag brake dial all the way up to 10 to start with and go down from there.

My favorite reel, it's just a right hand model, so I stopped using it that much.

Hope you enjoy the reel. Daiwa reels are nice from what I've used!

had a session on Friday with the reel, absolutely brilliant piece of kit. I combined it with a new rod so it was a first time out with them. I suffered a few backlashes but got over them in no time, I did not manage to land a fish, but enjoyed the day as it got me out the house.
