Doc Irv could use a prayer
Yesterday Doc Irv, my regular fishing partner, BF.com member, and a pretty decent maker of soft plastic baits had a blood vessel in his retina burst and bleed into the eye. He's had treatment - needle in the eye, OMG that makes my stomach turn thinking about it - to attempt to stop the bleeder. Further treatment to follow next week, including probable LASER surgery. His vision isn't that great as it is, but there is a possibility of his loosing vision in that eye. If you could offer one up for him, that his Doctors can make a successful repair to the condition of the eye and that his vision is retained. Thank you all so very much.

Hope Doc pulls through. I know his hearing isn't the best. That said, I certainly do not want him to lose his eyesight too!

Sorry to hear Doc! Laser eye surgery has come along ways, with everyones prayers you may come out with better sight instead. That's what me prayers are anyway.

Thanks everyone for your good thoughts & prayers. Doc had another vessel burst in the eye Friday. He has an appointment tomorrow (Thurs, 5/31) with his eye Dr and additional treatment will be determined then. When I hear anything new, I'll pass it along to our good friends here at BF.com.

Dang, that sucks again. I assume that if 1 burst vessel is bad, 2 is very bad. Still sending up prayers.

Sorry I'm late with an update but I was busy the last few days with the kayak. Last Thursday Doc had a LASER treatment, hopefully that eliminates the bursting blood vessels issue. As for the vision, that remains to be seen (NO pun intended). As previously stated his vision is bad anyway (extremely nearsighted) but hopefully he will retain enough that with stronger glasses he will still be able to tell me and Bryce apart.
