| BassFishin.Com Super Veteran | A prayer

Fellas, I have been pretty quiet lately, but still checking in. But I would like to ask for a prayer. I don't post stuff like this on FB, but I have been having terrible sciatic pain. Flea had to take me to the ER last Friday and now I am having symptoms of drop foot. I was hoping they would check me out but I felt like they treated me like an addict. They shot me with steroids and pain killer and sent me on my way. I am supposed to go to the doc Monday though and hoping this doesn't lead to the knife. I had drop foot in 07 and it took a while before I was able to do much of anything beside walk around. I'm not looking for sympathy but I would like to be in a future prayer. I really appreciate it.

You got it from me brother. You know I've had my share of problems with nerve damage from an injury, so I know what you're feeling.

Thanks fellas. It had been a long week of much of nothing. The pain is manageable but the paralyzed foot ain't cool by a long shot. Every step is planned or I stumble around.

That really SUX ! Definitly will send prayers and a candle. Pain is tough but when your mind tells a body part to react and it doesn't...horrifing! My best to you and the family. I know it's tough for all of you.

You don't know how much I appreciate it. Bama, basically the muscles on the front of my leg are not working and my toes drop when I walk. It can lead to some nasty spills if I don't plant my foot or I get caught landing on my heel. Its sort of weird that there is not much back pain to speak of, but it feels like my leg is going to blow out of the hip socket. I will let y'all know what the doc says tomorrow.

Well X-ray showed very little separation between L5 and S1 which is probably the root to the nerve being pinched on. I am supposed to get an MRI in 2 weeks and go from there to see how to get the nerve back online and help with the drop foot. Anyone else had the injections and could elaborate on what I might be looking at?

Thankfully, never had to have any injections. Praying that it will be simple procedure, as painless as possible and works miracles!

SEE ABOUT THAT NEW TREATMENT THEY GOT GAREY, THE ONE WHERE THEY PUT OYU ON A TABLE AND PULL. i want to try it myself. i have, forgive the spelling nerophathy. nerve damage down my legs. feels like i am walking on hot needles in the soles of my feet. take a pill 3 times a day. doc said it is nerve damage and walking on concrete for the last 30 plus years.

Bama, if you are referring to Vax-D, Felicia tried it back around 99. They strap you in at your chest and hips and pull. While it helps when your laying on a table, gravity takes back over when you stand up. She went a little while but she didn't see any benefit after a couple of weeks and pulled the plug and viewed it as snake oil.
