Getting a bit of cabin fever so last week I ran up to BPS (WTFDIDT? - bonus points if you figure it out) and didn't buy a dang thing (for myself). I was pretty unfazed by the stuff in BPS and it was supposed to be an "SPECIAL EVENT" for their "REWARDS" card holders - nothing "SPECIAL" about it. ALTHOUGH - due to a post from Tavery5 in the "Reel Review post" I did check out that new Diawa Tatula reel. Very interesting concept with the level wind guide, it was larger than what I prefer, but if I was looking for something "new" I might consider one of them. So what now? Well I got a flyer from Cabela's last week and they are offering "EMPLOYEE PRICING" on just about every thing IN STOCK, IN STORE including firearms through Jan 5th. I just might NEED a new pistol (KEITH - any comments on your new S&W Shield, shoot it yet?) with a deal like that. So it looks like I'm headed there Friday to see what I can find... anyone need me to pick them up anything? |

I've driven out to the store a few times. Nothing to make me go back anymore. Cabela's is closer in WV. I didn't get one of those flyers but I might just drive down this weekend anyway. Cabin fever is driving me crazy to.

[QUOTE=bassboogieman;413193] I just might NEED a new pistol (KEITH - any comments on your new S&W Shield, shoot it yet?) with a deal like that. I havn't been able to shoot it yet Bruce. I've been to the range twice and both times they had a line of guys 10 deep waiting to get into the range. The folks at Blythes Gun Shop where I go told me the holidays are always crazy busy with so many people being off the last two weeks of the year. I stopped New Years Eve and they closed at 3PM for the holiday. So, maybe I can get in this Friday after work. Fingers crossed. But I have no doubt I will be pleased. Everything I have read from folks who own the gun is very positive.
