my best lure over the spring and summer was the buzzbait. when that wasnt working a c-rig or a smallie beaver c-rigged or texas worked well. i didn well on the spinnerbait this year too a bad year for cranks for me though. jigs worked well too.

Best bait for the year- Zoom lizards, multiple colors worked well- most were darker shades. Ratltrap's and strike king spinner baits were a close second.

Worst bait of the year- Anything with the word jig in it.

Have some new stuff to try out for the new year courtesy of a member here. May have some new favorites soon.

you might not have any douts but i am on a long dry spell. i can't seem to shake..

jigs were the ticket up until mid june.rattletraps also in the same period.senkos caught fish but not as many.deadsticked 4 inch yum dingers had a few good days.the topwater bite was poor this year.had a great day in june with zoom trickworms t rigged with a 1/8 oz. weight.had a great spinnerbait day in october with 28 fish one day.it was pretty much a mixed bag.the only lure that got squar was a yum woolly hawgtail.

Here's what worked for me this year.....

Early spring = Smithwick Rattlin' Rogue, Buzzbait, T-Rigged Plastic Worm, Skitter Pop, & Lizards.

Late Spring = T-Rigged Plastic Worms, Weightless Senkos, & Lizards

Summer = Big Black & Blue Jigs w/Craw Trailers, Spinnerbaits, & Plastic Worms

Fall = Jigs w/Craw Trailer, Rattlin' Rogue, Spinnerbaits, Lizards & Senkos.

Ice out till ice just about on 3/8 oz pj's brown jig with one of my 2" green pumpkin trailers ahs been my most succesful.

worst for me this year was a spinnerbait, the bite was pretty much non existent for me this year.

The best producers for me where as follows:
Spring: Spinnerbaits, and watermelon baby brushhogs
Summer: Depending on water being fished was scun frogs and bass assasins,spinnerbaits, and various plastics till late summer than scum frogs and PNJ's (of course)
Fall: what fishing I did get to do was spinnerbaits (the zook-en-stein really shined) scum frogs and bass assassins and crank baits mainly bandit 200 and 300 series.
Winter: In the past I have always fished the PNJ's and done very well and once I can get back on the water will do well again.

Spinnerbaits were a bigger fish bait for me this year. I would throw it and not get many but get some nice ones.

Mixed bag of baits this year for me. One day I'd catch em on plastics, the next day catch em on cranks, next day catch em on jigs. Topwater was the biggest loser. Caught my biggest fish 8.9lbs on jerkbait.

This was my best lure by far this year, I think it was the color. But man did it catch alot of fish for me. Plastics as well as Spinner Baits worked quite well this was one of the best year I've had fishing. There's not much I had too much problems with other than color selection. I might need more work in that area. All and all I was happy with this year.

this is my first winter fishing and so far i have had succes with a dropshot rig with a 4'' straight tail worm.also a 7'' power worm in pumkinseed and a zoom trick worm in watermelonseed, both texas rigged.i am gonna try a jig next week if i can get out to BassMasters place.

Ive been using Prowler Pro Pitch 8.5 inch Magnum Screwtail Worms for the past three years now. A lot of folks havent heard of them but i did see them in BPS in Nashville last time i was there. They have a real pronounced tail action to them. I caught quite a few bass on the solid black ones.....also pumpkin pepper with red spike it on the tail.
