T-rigs

For t-rigs what oz. weight do u use and what color.
I fish murkey/green waters so what would be the best for my situation?

I normally go weightless. A lot of poeple like the watermellon/pumplinseed colors but I have had the best success with black/purple with a yellow tail.

Weight and color depend on a number of different factors. Weight-I use the lightest I can get by with. If I'm fishing deep or in real thick cover I go heavy.

Color-depends on the cloud cover and water clarity. Darker days more natural colors, sunny day lighter colors. Water clarity-same thing.
Clear water-natural colors. Stained water-add some color like a chartreuse tail.

I like 3/16 t rig and as a starter color in murkey water (less than one foot) i go with Junebug.
Most of the time tho after the water clears up I start with punkin seed with chartruse tail in clear spring waters, then go to some red shad or motor oil type color, which I have noticed the industry has renamed to sound cooler rofl

None. The reason it is weedless is so you can fish it in the real thick stuff. Open water I'm throwing a crank or a spinnerbait.

It depends on what cover and if there is current. I use from a 1/16 to a 3/8 depending on depth. Color depends on time of year, time of day or night and water color.Generally speaking in clear water I like translucient colors like watermellon and something or pumpkin. In stained water I will opt for red shad or black or purple. When night fishing I go with black grape or tequila sunrise or red bug. In the late summer when the fish are 25 to 35 feet deep off shore I will use grape or blue translucient shades.In stained water and at night I may go with a paddletail or straight tail but during the day I almost always use a sicle tail or swimming tail. Low stratch lines are a plus on a T rig. In clear water I never insert a raddle but at night or in stained water I do use a rattle. Fish2win

i usually use 7" powerbait worms with a 1/8 oz bullethead sinker. i use 1/4 oz sinker if its heavier cover. but i prefer not to use anything heavier than that.

almost 90% of the time, I'm fishing T-rigs weightless. I find it rare that I need any hole punching weights because more often than not there are holes in the cover that make great spots for sliding a weightless worm over the slop or whatever and letting it fall silently and slowly into the hole. in the 10% of the time I do use a weight, its mostly because of wind or current that will move my bait if its weightless.
