				 | horny toads

guys i need some help here. my wife went out and bought some zoom toads, yum toads, and manns toads. so off we went to the lake this morning. i used a 4/0 gammy red ewg hook on mine and she used a 3/0 ewg gammy red hook. now the problem, when we reeled in the baits the hook was on top of the bait,i thought the hook was to be under the bait, also the bait was spinning comming back in. i was using a baitcaster on mine and she was using a open face reel. how do u hook them? i put the hook under the belly with the eyes up and hook down. please what am i doing wrong ? thanks mount

On the horney toad, the hook rides under on the bottom, and most times even if the toad is upside down, give ita tug while reeling and it will reverse its postion, however I have caught plenty of fish with the toad upside down...I use a 4 or 5/0 gammy

doesn't seem to matter to me when I am fishing this bait....make sure to wait a sec when the fish grabs it....braided line is great to drive the hook home if your fishing weeds. Get a big hook like JB said.....
