water temp was 68 and slightly stained water was down .2-3 feet from slap full.. as predicted the massive cold front hit last night..it was 78 friday afternoon. 36 at the barn i keep my boat in at 5:30am this morning. upon reaching the lake i was greeted by this. there is 2 boats in this picture mine and 2 guys easing out to the no wake zone.. i took this picture after waiting to see if the fog would lift.it did not so i left.. as a precaution i had all my lights on till like 10am.. i ran-err walked- up to my normal starting point. about got hit by and idiot in a wellcraft running on plane ..morons!! i started fishing my normal pattern same one i was on last weekend. and i got this beast.. same pattern i caught this lil feller. just how foggy was it well i was fishing the brush pile beside this dock with a crank bait. i was actually hitting the dock it self.. you could cast a crank and could not see it till it hit the water.. as i told jb last night i will be lucky to catch 3 bass well i probly could have if i did not switch over to messing with some new plastic baits when the fog cleared.. zooker

I've been hoping to get out on High Rock, but between the rain the other weekend and school, i cant seem to get out there. But theres a possibility that i will be out there this coming weekend. Ill get to try out my new crankbaits that you gave me advice on.

zooker, ya did better than me, I went out about 7ish and nothing was even moving. It was 35 here, water temp 62...wtg on catching on the front..tomorrow will even be worse. What made this morning bad up here was the 32 mile an hour winds we've had the last couple of days. At daybreak the weather channel said it was 12 mph winds, not too bad, but it got worse. I couldn't even get a stinkin panfish to hit my punkin 2inch power grub How big was the bigger fish? its tail looks flugged up like that one ya posted in sept? whats the deal..ya have 3 mile island syndronm bass big guy? rofl Last edited by JB; 10-14-06 at 04:32 PM. |

JB, put on a thermal tee, fleece-lined hoodie, then a Carhartt, then a windbreaker. Next put on some long underbritches, then sweatpants, then jeans, and make sure to tuck your shirt in! I can just about guarantee you wont get cold dressed like that! |
