Took old workmate Chuck and cousin Vincent from FL Miami backwater fishing. Fishing was tough and high tide that just stayed high all night..Fish where caught and released but the numbers where down a bit. First LGMouth fell for a red shad wacko and from there the fish just turned right off. But golden hour provided some nice LGMouth. I think most of the fish where blind last night as they boiled and missed the baits at least twenty times.. Thats fishing.. The boy would not hold the fish... Big boy at 5 lbs sipped the bait down.. like a bluegill. He looks so happy!!!! Ha ha ... See the phone in his hand... he was on the phone and the fish hit.. Capt Mike

I caught them on Senko on a black buzzbait. A lot of misses on the buzzbait. The kids got to see a deer on the bank, Great Blue Herons and Osprey. They grabbed anything that floating came by in the water. Drank sodas and ate out on the boat. They didn't catch any fish because you have to have your bait in the water to catch fish. (strange, but true) The only complaint is that we couldn't fish while on a plane. (their favorite part) Good trip. They also got to meet one Capt. Mike Starrett.

He kept a look out on my kids while I parked the trailer. When I got back he said he had explained all the rules to them. They seemed OK. Mike, my other two kids didn't bring your macadamia nuts, can you believe it? |

Singing is fine but stomping feet is wrong.. Do not touch the trolling motor peddle and use your listening ears and not your speaking mouth.. Also the kids added throwing old soft baits in water is bad.. I would say Dave you have some fine legacy's. I was my pleasure to meet them. What no Mac's for me is so sad.. Capt Mike

They were so into just being out there and seeing things. At one point, my son stood on one of the storage boxes to point something out to my daughter. I was in the process of stepping on the t - motor and it wasn't straight. The boat jerked to the side and he almost went in the drink. He stayed off the decks after that. They both were in constant danger of falling in while leaning out to grab anything that came through the water. They kept saying "Hey, isn't that Capt. Mike over there?" Let's go over and talk to him.
