				 | arghhh!!! the bait monkey attacked me

there i was in the tackle shop minding my own business, picking up a 6 pack of red bull before heading to work. tring to mentally prepare for the bull sh!t i have to deal with..and all of a sudden the monkey was on me like green on money... it was a long, hard fought battle in which i was forced to picked up a poes 300,a lucky craft d-12,a matzuo depth charger,a big bomber fat free shad-it's on a diet-and for some reason i had a rod prop stick -extendable- but i rarely bank fish.. umm i think i was tring to fight him off with it.. than just as sudden as the attack happened it quite..ok so i was $50 lighter but dang... zooker

Zookersquatch, Now where are you gonna stow all that stuff in the good ship "Leakin' Lena" You may have to toss some of your Flying Lures and Banjo Minnows Oh, the humanity As for me, there's one day left on Academy's "Rod Riot" sale and one of the local stores carries the Falcon Caras so well as the Lowriders and Team AllStars...hmmm. All rods 80.99-109.99 are now 69.99 and the 110.99-149.99 ones are 99.99, BTW. FR Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to spend I go. |

Well he got me today also Zook! I went to buy some kahle style hooks and ended up with 5 packs of kahle Gammies and 3 packs of Lazer sharp. Still not to bad and then he spyed a 14.5 quart(5galllon bucket) cool bubbles so my cash went from 20.00 to 20.00 plus another 52.00 for the cool bubbles. But I can use it for catfishin, crappie, sauger and at the beach for my mud minnows while im flounder fishing. Hell I got to admit I love the baitmonkey! |

On the other hand, the "distraction" was, well...Deeeeeelightful. The burgers weren't bad either...with bacon and cheddar chizz! Home made fries and iced tea wit dat too, excellent! (It was the Haagen-Dazs Triple Chocolate that caused the problem.) | |

Sunday $89. Today $300. All except $100 was for baits, like I need more, and the $100 was to use the Expeditor service from GLoomis for 2 broken rods($50 each). Man I love the monkey, he's my freind forever and ever. Lizards

I've noticed a strange correlation with the monkey - the more I fish the more he gets me... No wait, when I don't fish he gets me just as badly...Ahhh the monkey owns me.... Help....

Brushog, I am with you . . . everytime I get out fishin', I usually realize that I need something new and get all excited and fuzzy inside about buying stuff. I think the baitmonkey really thrives the day after a fishin excursion.

Went to but some 3/0 gammy's (for $2.79 at Dicks), came out with an EagleClaw 320 fish finder ($165).......oh yeah, got the hooks too. It was like I was in a trance or some type of peyote sweat......the next thing I new, I was back in the car and trying to figure out how I was going to make rent next month. Maybe the bait monkey will chip in |

He bit me, too. Went to Wal-mart for some 6" blue flake worms, walked out with a 7' Berkley Cherrywood rod, plus the worms. Ah well, what's $45?

Well the rod sale at Academy is past but, undaunted, I made my way to Sportsman's W'house (The Best Little W'house In Texas! ) to seek two items. Item One: Some little craw-type trailer to compliment a Peanut Butter/Jelly finesse jig. Result? The usual...nada. Item Two: A 7' Med/Fast spin rod; either a St. Croix Avid, a Shimano Crucial, or a Loomis. Result? Same as above. I bought one package of ZOOM U-tails in Natural Blue, two spools of P-Line FloroClear, two of P-line fluoro leader material, a package of AA batteries, and yet another Canyon Lake map. I got home with all except the map 'cause I stopped at the pub and encountered a guy and his wife who will be on Canyon tomorrow. They bought a pontoon barge and had no idea about the layout of the lake. I gave them the map....oh well. I promised that tomorrow's partner (RedRooster) and I will check on them. FR |
