Insane. I always wondered what itd look like seeing a tornado come across a lake. I know exactly where they were too. Think it was whitecapping?

Okay I am a California boy but I had a similar event happen to me, a dust devil as we call it here in Ca. It started on land picking up all kinds of vegetation then started across the lake right at me. White water swerling and sprayring coming right at me, I dropped to the bottom of my boat and got shook to hell as it passed right over my boat. The closest I have ever come to being in a tornado.

thanks lash. yes gang, it was BADDDDD. there is a great deal of damage in some places. after going through 11 hurricanes, i am used to seeing this sort of stuff. but it is terrible none the less. pray for the victims as we will.

John I'm glad to hear that you and Lisa are OK. That sure was close; I hope everyone made it out OK.

it's sad to see people lose everything in just a few seconds like that. my heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to the victims.

here's a pic of a twister that hit Moors resort, which is just around the corner from big bear, most of us will hit it next month I am sure..anyways, the twister went through a few years ago..since then all has been cleaned up and repaired. They had about a thousand tree tops sheared off behine the boat slips..

zooker the pond you see on your map of ky lake at moors is on the lower left corner of the pic, hehind it are the boat harbers and slips

Holy smokes, I didn't know anything about this tornado....I heard the one that came thru here went on into tennessee, but I knew nothing of this......the pictures look just like the scenes around here only without the lake.....all those beautiful trees wasted....views are changed forever....what a deal....we'll add these folks to our prayers also.
