| BassFishin.Com Premier Elite | They Should Change Bass Pro Shops to...

Bait-Monkey Pro Shops... Hit me hard, but not as hard as he could have. I went for 4 spools of line, and left with one of the 4 I came for... I wanted some 8lb Seaguar InvisX, 15lb Seaguar AbrasX, 10lb Sufix Elite, and some 8lb Sufix Elite. Before I get into what the monkey hid in my cart, I want to thank Taco Bell for saving me money to give to the monkey. I can't eat lunch anywhere else for $3.28 (less than the cost of a crankbait! ) Anyways, since BPS wants $2-4 more per spool for Seaguar Fluorocarbon than TW, I can wait till I talk myself into that new rod I've been eying to get the line, it's not urgent). so: 8lb Sufix Elite - the only thing I left with that I went for 12lb Sufix Siege - changed my mind from 10lb for cranks, and wanted to try the Siege 2 Bandit 100's - white (or maybe it was called pearl) and chrome black back. 1 Strike King 4S - Sexy shad 1pk Tru Tungsten Denny Brauer flipping weights - 3/8oz, black 1 Strike King KVD Scorcher spinnerbait - 1/2oz, sexy shad BPS Sinker Stops Owner Wacky Rig hooks - gonna give these a try this year And a couple tiny slip bobbers and some wax worms for bluegill fishing this week/weekend. BB

Nice score! The question is, was this 1 for you or the bait monkey.

Man, I don't know how I forgot this, but on my way out, I went to look at the Spro Popping Bronzeye frogs. As I was checking them out, I also looked at the TT Mad Max frogs, and that little "SALE" sign we all love to see. I got two Mad Max frogs (one Hydrilla Colored, the other one black) for like 6.50 each. BB

Good save BB. Check Jans for line, they had FC Sniper there last time I went in for less than Seagar. And the Seagar was cheaper than at BPS. Did you get the green wacky hooks? That is the only thing I will use. Those are bar none the best wacky hook I have found and I've tried a lot of them. Also did they have the Spro giant Bronzeye frogs? I saw some in Canada last week, they are huge! |

) Yes, the green Owner Wacky Rig hooks. I gave them a little test drive in my pond tonight and I have to say, they are sharp. Almost stuck myself bad with one, lol. Bass Pro did not have the Spro King Daddy. I get more and more disappointed in their selection every time I go in there. Mike's has the king daddy frog. If I do good on frogs this summer, I'll definitely be getting one... or two... BB

Ain't getting new tackle like christmas morning for us bass guys.. Those King Daddy frogs from Spro were frickin huge frogs, a little to big for me to be throwing around here... i think... On a side note, I went to Jann's for the first time the other day, and it is by far the nicest tackle shop I have been too... great guys in there, and some great prices too.. Ryan

I feel for you Dude. My daughter and son-in-law wanted to buy bath robes at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas and take a stroll along the Strip, as we were driving through in 2005...I thought I could save money by staying out of the Casinos. We agreed to meet in three hours. I spent the time in the Las Vegas BPS. The Bait Monkey hid three rods and reels plus assorted other goodies in the basket that I thought I was just pushing around! Exiting the store cost me over $350.00! But I saved money because it was all on sale...hahaha. Garry2R's |
