Forget about the past, you can't change it. Forget about the future, you can't predict it. Forget about the present, I didn't get you one. Have a great day!

Hey guys thanks so much for the birthday wishes!!. Man I had a blast this weekend...We did a last minute camping trip at my friends cabin on Lake of The Pines,TX. The cool thing about this is my buddy Nate bought this property of Craigslist 2 yrs ago and started clearing trees, and then started hand building his own two story cabin for him and his wife...Taking friends to help along the way. It still not done but you talk about impressive for a first time builder!! Heres some pics of it from the weekend. These are off my phone...My buddy took a ton that'll surface on FB Im sure. The fishing was pretty slow..Lake of The Pines is awesome looking.I definitely want to explore it more once I have a floating vessel of some type...We kept it simple though for our first time and the 6 of us walked the spillway looking for bass and crappie....and yes!!,I did land my first bass of 2012 on my bday ...That was pretty cool....I only caught two bass total.....Then the women got bored Went back and stayed lazy by the cabin....Then after dinner, loaded up to try the catfish....Again really slow and the temps were dropping....We had a fear that the water was too shallow...After an hour we were about to call it,then Nate's rod lite up with the first channel cat!...Then quite again...Then mine went off and I got an ugly spotted flat.lol. We caught 3 total ,then headed back to the cabin were we challenged our endurance till 4am.lol Seriously a great way to break into 30....Cant wait to do a longer trip this summer.....Thanks again guys for all the Bday wishes....Im gonna take a nap!...hahahaha

30 is great age. Those "Endurance Challenges" tend to get tougher with age. That cabin looks real good for a first timer!

I've looked at that last pic and can only deduce that Abu-Garcia is holding a semi transparent catfish while the suspect on the right is holding some mono thats in the fishes mouth ...maybe some sort of Lake-O-Pines ritual, but I don't see any bowl packing going on.

Sorry I missed it Walker, HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Been busy down here in Florida playing with the gators. Looking for bass, but all I'm running in to are those freakin' lizzards.
