				 |  size hooks for zara puppies 
			
			i have 2 puppys that apprently 2 snappers tore up, same day too. anyway i got some kvds size 6, they look about the same size,  something just looks odd about em, if they are too big, what size and how will oversizing hooks mess up hookets

			If I remember right, the Zara Puppy is the small 3 inch version. Size 6 hooks should be fine, but size 4 might offer better hookup percentages. I don't think size 4 hooks would interfere with the lures action, but without actually trying it out, it's hard to say for sure. I've replaced nearly all the size 6 trebles on my lures with the larger but short Mustad KVD Triple Grip 2X short size 4, and so far no issues.

			Treble hooks are sized by the distance between the points.  It doesn't matter if they are round bend or EWG's, long or short shank, the actual hook points should be consistent between sizes.
