Wow, nice job, Valverde...

Ichiro Suzuki (1) 2 run shot to right off Valverde, Martin scored.
Raul Ibanez (3) 2 run shot to right off Valverde, Teixeira scored.

Can't even hold a FOUR RUN lead in the 9th inning. Yeesh.

And it's not even that I like DET, because I don't, it's just that I despise the Yankees and can't stomach the thought of them being in another World Series. Maybe DET can still pull it out in extra innings...

I hope the Tigers can get this one and go on to win the series. I'm not a big Detroit fan but I HATE the Yankees.

The one bright spot for me personally has been A-Rods performance throughout the playoffs.

Two things would make me feel better.

1) Seeing Detroit win the game last night even after blowing that 9th inning lead (done!)

2) Seeing anyone except the Yankees win the World Series.

After the Yankees tying up the game, I didn't think we were gonna win it. I was shocked when I check the scores this morning.

Glad to see you all rooting for the Tigers, even if it is just to spite the Yankees!

I don't really mind the Tigers, but it's hard to get used to rooting for them in the post-season after rooting against them all season long because of my allegiance to the Twins. I could do without all of Valverde's antics on the mound, though.

No kidding. I know he's the closer and all, but he's not doing great this year. Don't know why they keep putting him in. And all anyone can tell me is "because he's the closer.

When is the last time the Tigers won a world series? One of the true historic teams in Baseball, hope they pull it out.

1984 when they beat the Padres in 5 games. They started the season by going 35-5 in their first 40 games and never looked back. Man, that was one amazing season capped by the Kirk Gibson HR off of Goose Gossage in the Series.
