Your favorite fall techniques?

Heading out in the morning with the wife, 3 rods for each of us. A sunny cold front is moving through today. Supposed to be sunny skies and chilly tomorrow. Not sure what I'm going to use, but going to start out with three baits that are always good for me in the fall. A big spinner bait, a big Zara Spook which will be replaced with a square bill crank bait later in the morning, and a frog. If the frog doesn't produce, I'll be switching over to a big jig. What would you guys start out with?

Soft plastic stick bait. Bass Pro Shops Sticko is my favorite. Weightless, rigged weedless. Skip it across the top on the first casts, jerk bait it through the same cover on the second and slow yo-yo off the bottom on the third. No hits, move on to the next target.

The only time I use anything else, these days, is when I am fishing open, deep water. Then I'll go to crank baits and suspending, rattling jerk baits.

Since salt runs in my blood I would a Stillwater popper in late October for some rockfish bites.

The back creeks as they cool produce some stupendous bites.

Skirted jigs with various trailer designs seem to be a multi season bass lure that produces most for me. Should try to use more crankbaits (considering I store about 1000) of which X-Raps have done well for me when the water temp is in the 50's.

Of course my best lure for colder water is a 2-2 3/4" grub I pour rigged on a 1/16 oz ball head jig:
