it's off rte 513...between high bridge and long valley...right by califon.
where do you come from?i can give better directions if i knew where you are.
never mind,i see you're in ledgewood.that's not that far from me.

take 46 east or 80 east to hackettstown..head south on mountain ave in hackettstown, keep going till you get to the bottom of the mountain(schooley's mountain)..make a right at the traffic light keep going till you see the A&P..make a left.go down and over the bridge, make the 1st right ,that'll take you right into the gorge.

Thanks Tom,
Coming from the other direction. About how far would you say it is from Voorhees State Park?
It is closer for me to take 78 rather than 80 but I can take 24 through chester to the mountain.
there was also a back way into the gorge through a park and down a winding dirt road. Not sure if still there.
Will follow your directions this Sunday.
How is the furnace doing? Is it hard yet?
Oh, a guy was telling me yesterday that this past weekend Budd was well over 6 inches with fishing and ice boating. Seems hard to beleive with the temps being so high. Have you seen the lake?
I'm fishing some open water near me but I am not as cold as you are.
took some nice trout from the Glen Gardner Bridge this past summer

not sure if 24 turns into 513 or you have to make a turn somewhere.but if you take 24 west you should see signs for 513 or califon.it's not through the park the park is in high bridge..that's the back way from 513.from voorhees it's only a couple of miles north or east on 513..you'll have to make a right off 513..this is the way you would come from 78...78 to 31 north to 513.i'm about 20 min from the gorge.
my kids love going down the muddy winding road along the gorge...even better in winter when the road is ice or snow covered.a real challenge.
