Lake Lansing 8-28-08

Today the girlfriend and I were able to be alone for a couple of hours (daughter was w/grandma) so we actually went FISHING!!! Well, she's a big baby when it comes to fishing all I get to do is listen to her complain about smelling like fish... well I teach her how to cast a spinning reel and put on a wacky rigged senko and say good luck. She boats the first two fish!!! Both of the largemouths in the picture. I would have loved to had a video of her screaming every time the fish jumped or the comment about "what's going on with my pole, it's bent!" Well, I did end up missing one on a frog and another on a spinnerbait (watched it jump and shake it's head and then poof, gone) but did get one small LM on a wacky senko and a pike on the spinnerbait. It was a fun two hours.
