What style worm hook is your go-to?

I'm not talking about brand as much as am style. But for like a standard 4 - 7.5" worm, what kind of hook you gonna be using? Off set, wide gap, or just a "J" hook. I've heard that a J hook will get you better hook up... what do you have to say about that? Folks also say they don't hold the worm well. While that's clear as to why, would it help to put a piece of rubber band down the hook after you hook the head through, and press it up to the neck of the worm to hold it in place.
