First I want to give my thanks to Garey and Walker for their guidence in this project. Your assistance was very much appreciated! The rod I worked on is a rod that once belonged to our friend Zooker. It was obviously a rod he used extensively. It was well worn with many cracks, holes, and chips. I recieved it last year from Zookers mother through John and wanted to restore it so that the rods integrity could be preserved. I intend to continue to use this rod and the reel that came with it. I'll be thinking of Zooker every time I land a bass with it. I think that would make him smile. The finished product looks pretty darn good I think. It's not like perfectly new, and thats not what my intentions were. There are a few minor inperfections here and there and thats what I wanted. It helps keep the rods character. So here are a few pics of the project as it unfolded.
