I have to share this with you all in hope that you can avoid what just happened to me. This has been my best year bass fishing in 40 years. New trolling motor, rods and lures, lots of new lures. Have caught 32 bass in my last two outtings. Boy was I fired up. Tonight I planned to go out after work, so I rushed home, squared things away and went out to get my gear when I was horrified to discover my tackle box has been stolen. It is a large Plano 777 I bought about 8 years ago, loaded with top notch expensive lures. Hundreds of dollars worth. Also a couple hand down tools my father gave me that he had used since he was a teenager in the 30's. All gone. I suspect what happened was some kids were looking to steal beer from my garage refridgerator and found no beer but did find the tackle box next to the fridge. This happened sometime between now and last Sunday. There were times when the garage was open while doing yard work in back of the house, or a quick run to the store, but a lesson learned here. Keep your stuff secure in a locked area. I think I'll keep mine in the house from now on, once I am able to start to replace it. But the garage stays closed and locked!!!!
