flat swamp welcomed me back big time
well it was a tad chilly this morning and the fog tad thick. water temp at the 8 launch on the swamp was 72. water -hey it is flat swamp- clear. having lived on this creek i know where every single brush pile, rock pile, and laydown is.. they are still there. about 15 mintues after my run through the fog. and the second cast with a pnj i broke my own personal best bass on a jig. she pulled the digital down to 6.1 pounds.. i ran back thru the fog -not fun- to find an old friend i showed this fish to mr.monty and company. he like me did not have his camera-dammit!!!- i ran back into the fog back to the place i caught the fish and released her.. in all i caught 8 bass 6 keepers. lost a decent bass at the boat he'd gone 2 pounds or so.. the bite was very light but easy to see. had a nice chat with a former club member way back in the back of the swamp..hell i did not catch any thing back there any way. still ya got to love it. i have not fished in flat swamp in nearly 3 years. well except i did take out of there once during a tourny. but did not fish the swamp. zooker
