Default Canyon Lake, Texas March 24 & 25

Ran a tournament on Canyon on Sunday the 25th. We went out on Saturday to get a look around. The water is muddy through the upper third or so of the lake, with the ocassional large log floating in the water.

The wife and I had good luck on Saturday in about 10-15 feet of water in Tom's and Comal creeks near submerged timber. Nothing big, but we caught quite a few of them.

Sunday's bite was a little slower for us, with us boating our first legal fish at about noon. We were fishing the same areas where we had the luck Saturday. We also tried the deep water trees in Tom's with no luck. We saw a couple of buck cass on beds, so the spawn isn't far off.

A couple of the other teams were fishing up river and brought in some females with bloody tails, so the spawn is on up that way. I just got the motor repaired and wasn't going up there to discover what might be floating after the recent rains. Maybe next trip.

The winning stringer was caught C-rigging in 10-15 feet near deeper water on the lower end of the lake.
