Cruising bass

I fished a 5 acre pond today. I must have spotted 10 or more very large bass swimming along just slightly under the surface. I also saw small bass on a few beds. The big ones would not touch anything I threw at them. Neither did any bass for that matter. I couldn't believe the size of the bigger fish. If I'd say maybe 8lbs or more I wouldn't be wrong. I couldn't believe it. I will be going back again to try for these big mamas. I threw jigs, spinners, worms, plugs, buzzbaits, creatures, horny toads, everything I had. I know if I saw them they saw me but they wouldn't hit anything even when I threw away from their line of sight. Any thoughts?
