Is it possible that a fishing rod loses its sensitivity over time from being used alot ?
I think it is possible , because of the twisting of the rod blank when fighting a fish has to effect it over time. The spiral wrap guide system helps eliminate rod twist, but there is the wicked hooksets to get the fish started in the right direction when puling them out of the thick weedbeds.I would think a dropshot rod would last forever. There is no hookset, just simply reeling down on the fish, but a flipping and pitching stick takes some serious abuse as a frog rod probably does as well ? ![]() |
