Well, I caught another fish at the retention pond tonight. One bite, one catch. It was another 3/4 lb LM. But I am going to limit my fishing at the pond to mornings or early evenings when it is still light out where I can see. I just about stepped on a moccasin. I stopped short of the snake by about 5 feet while walking and casting down the bank. I was lucky enough to just happen to look down and notice it. I touched it with my rod tip and it swam into the water about 10 feet and then turned around and came back to the bank. From that point on, I was jumping at every movement in the water and every blade of grass that brushed my leg. Needless to say, I whipped out the small light on my keychain and made my way back to the car and called it a night.
