Minn Kota or BPS trolling motor?
I got $100 cash as a gift from my in-laws. I plan on purchasing a trolling motor for my personal pontoon. I was debating between the Minn Kota and the BPS.
The Minn Kota is the Endura 30HC as shown here at Academy. The BPS is the Prowler T30/30 show here at Bass Pro Shops. Both are $99.99 and have 30 lbs of thrust but the Minn Kota has a telescoping handle. Both run off of 12 volts and have 5 forward speeds. The Minn Kota has 3 reverse speeds while the Prowler has 2. Both also have excellent reviews. I would also like to use this for small 10' john boats that my father-in-law and I would rent at state parks. I know it is strong enough for my personal pontoon but will it be strong enough for the small john boat as well? What do you guys think? |
