drop shot rig

does anyone fish a dropshot rig much? i had never even heard of it till just a few days ago.

what situation do u fish it in? near grass, under docks, off of points, in the rocks? winter, fall, spring, summer, anytime?

could someone send me a link to the kind of hooks and weights u use to fish it?

do u fish it with a trick worm, U tail, or something else?

sorry for all the quistions, but i have no idea how or when to tie this thing on.
