ok so there is a lake near my house and its a private lake reserved for the neighborhood residents. we dont live there =]. but anyways im a shore fisherman most of the time but one day i had a friend let me borrow a kayak. so i went over to a dock that i knew was good. there was an old man with his kids on it. they feed the brim every morning so i guess it brings in the bass. his kids were catching the brim and using them for bait. he told me he already caught a 7,10,and 11 pounder that same day. i did not believe him. but i saw him pull out a 12 pounder right as he was telling me. i thought to my self,"oh my god im fishing here!" but i have been fishing there for days with artificials and have only gotten dinks. i dont wanna use live bait for my trophy. any advice??
