I know I'm a new guy here but just wanted to let you all know I won't be on here for a bit. I left my computer on and running last night and this morning while I was at work. I came home to find the blue screen of death. I moved back home with my mom 2 years ago to save some money and help her renovate the house and part of the deal was me paying for the high speed internet and that she would use my computer from time to time to check email and such. She normally is good about checking emails for suspicious things before opening them but apparently this morning she opened some emails, looked at some online albums a friend posted, and clicked a link a "friend" sent her. Long story short I came home from work to find the aforementioned blue screen of death and upon further exploration find 20 viruses, and assorted Malware all over the operating system using the rundll.exe exploitation. I was looking for a reason to have a clean wipe or buy a new hard drive for a clean install of windows xp but wanted to do so at my convenience, not now of all times. Gonna be offline for awhile while I consolidate files and take my computer off the grid and try to fix and salvage what I can. Hope I don't miss anything too vital on here, but I'll try to check in from time to time at my friend's house. Take care all and see you on the flip side.
