More Reservoir Fishing, but no fish!

So, I met 4 guys out at the local reservoir from a local forum. I was the 4th there out of 5, and I live the closest. I got there about 6:15am.

I start fishing with a jig and nothing. so I switch up to a wacky rig swim senko and miss two bites. I fished for a while longer with the jig, wacky rig, t-rigged Yum Dinger, and a couple cranks. All the stuff we've caught fish on in there before. between the 5 of us, we fish around the whole reservoir (not really big)

The guy who runs the forum did pretty good. He got some on the senko, a couple on a tube, and about 8 on the dropshot! I'd have never though to throw the dropshot because of the weed growth. So I tie one up (even though I didn't have my DS rod) and toss it for a while. Nothing...

We got to talking to the guy who runs the site before he had to go. the other three guys were gonna go fishing somewhere else. The five of us talked for almost an hour. Then the guy who runs the site had to leave, and the others wanted me to catch one. so I threw the DS again, and missed two bites. before long the 4 of us were fishing the same 25ft of shore, lol. This was around 9:30.

They continue to catch fish on t-rigged senkos in green pumpkin copper flake, some natural color, waternmelon, junebug, and one that was almost red. So I switch back to a 6" senko in green pumpkin red. Nothing... again... One of the guys catches the longest fish of the day on a 7" er. about 18-1/2" but skinny.

we went and fished the second reservoir that's up a big hill from the one most everyone fishes. It's deeper, and no weeds. I threw a 6-8' diving crank. One of the guys threw a hollow belly swimbait, one a gander mtn senko knock-off, and the other, a 3/8oz (or maybe smaller) sexy shad spinnerbait.

I again catch nothing... The guy with the spinnerbait did pretty good. He landed the largest fish of the day, almost 3 lbs (same guy who caught the longest fish. The guy with the swimbait didn't catch anything. and the guy with the senko caught one more. We headed back to our trucks (and one compact car, lol) and left. I was shocked to see it was after 1 o'clock.

The totals were:
me - 0
one guy had 13, one had 9 or 10, one had 4, and one had 8 or 9.

I've got some new tactics to try out there, and I met some new fishing buddys. I had only ever met one of the 4 guys before, so I atleast met some new people. sorry, no pics of the fish. I also got to check out some new (to me) tackle including a carrot stick, a Daiwa fuego, a Daiwa Advantage, and the mojo bass rod I'm hopefully getting from Tackle Warehouse when they get them in... if they get them in...

Like I said, I didn't catch anything. I don't think the fish were in the biting mood.
