Had some good look again this weekend. I took my nephews out in our boat on Saturday morning and landed this 3lb 9oz, 18" LM right away (6:30 a.m.) using my leopard colored Spro Bronzeye Poppin' Frog. I caught 5 that morning using that frog and had a couple others on that didn't make it into the boat, plus a few more hits that I didn't hook up.
Later that night (9:15 p.m.) from the dock I bested my previous PB smallie by an ounce with this 3lb 12oz, 18" beauty using my "Ol' Bass" colored P65 Magnum Pop-R. My nephew, age 5, in the picture with me is a fish-a-holic. He is already able to cast and retrieve his own open-face reel and recently hooked and caught his first-ever solo walleye (22") while fishing with his dad. Finally, here is a self-photo of a 2lb 0oz, 14.5" LM caught on the Pop-R late Sunday night from the dock. Not a big fish, but my self-photo attempts don't usually turn out that well, so I thought this one was actually worth sharing. ![]() |
