Default A reminder about melting plastics

While this might bring a few chuckles, it is meant to serve as a reminder to all.

I, like several folks on here, keep a spare zip lock bag with me to collect my torn plastics. About once a month, I go to the garage and begin my repair process. For me this means breaking out the soldering gun and melting the tears back together while watching Monday Night Football or some other event on TV.
Last night it was pretty cold for this area so I did not open the garage door like I usually will. This resulted in me inhaling a lot of the smoke from the repairs. After about 30 minutes, I realized that I was feeling a little light-headed and decided to go and open the garage door. When I went to stand the room spun quickly and my legs gave out. I ended up bouncing my head off of my table saw.
Other than a bruised head and some rather severe nausea, I was fine, but it did serve as a reminder why proper ventilation is so important.
