Trying a cheaper idea to get the action of a swimbait on an older bait

I bought some MS Mini Slammers, too expensive, sold them right away, I am really trying to stay as CHEAP as possible

So I took a 5/8 jitterbug and put an owner centerpin on the rear hook hanger and put the better part of a trick worm behind it, cast a few times in the ol lady's pool, before it was covered. The center pin was not working, I just got some Hitchikers ( small wire screw, from Barlows) cant wait for spring, it will probably be very similar to the action I am looking for, now if it workd ther is a 19.00 in lures!
