I had been hunting this little pig and his friends for some time... so I finally got one of them... it is in a small creek area down from a spillway from a small lake/pond. Normally I base whether I keep them or not on the situation... normally so close to spawn starting I let them go... but because these bass are actually in an area where they are considered somewhat invasive due to a rare fish in the same creek, I decided to keep him and will fry him up in a few weeks.
16" long, around 2.5 lbs (he was moving so much it was tough to get an accurate read) ![]() Caught him on a basic 6'6" rod, spinning reel, Strike King watermelon flake 5" worm and 10lb PowerPro braid |
