We are at the Sooner Run!!!

Britney and I came down to Muskogee tonight for the Elite event on Fort Gibson. My tourney partner is a Marshall and he and his wife had an extra bed in the hotel room so we decided to come on down so we can make takeoff in the morning. We have to cram a whole weekends worth of stuff into one day though because I have to be back at work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We are off to a good start though because earlier tonight we had trouble getting Lake to sleep so we drove around and cruised through all of the hotel parking lots looking at all of the pros rigs and taking some pictures (trying not to get so close that we alarmed anyone lol). Just down the hall from us is Alton Jones and Russ Lane so that is really cool too. Here in a few hours we are off to takeoff and then checking out some of the festivities. Then later in the day another one of my tourney partners is gonna be here with his boat and we are gonna run around Gibson for a while and watch some of the boys do their thing. I really like this wildcard of having the event moved at the last moment leaving everyone a max of one practice day. Sure the locals will have a slight advantage because they know the lake better but it's like that no matter how much practice time everyone gets. And no matter how well you know the lake, it's still a lake and they can change fast so even the locals will have to fly by the seat of their pants and on the water adjustments will be huge.
