Dog question?

Ok, I have two dogs. Zoey the 3 year old yellow lab and Gretta the 2 year old German Shorthair Pointer. Gretta is a pleasure to walk on a lead, never pulling hard and just walking with me. Zoey the lab however is a real pain to walk. She pulls hard on her leash and can at times try to run which will darn near drag you down the street. We have a collar called the Gentle Leader which fits around her snout, and you attach the lead under her chin. This prevents her from pulling against you and it very effective. Problem is it drives her nuts! She will drop her face to the ground and slide around pushing her back legs, while trying to dislodge this gentle collar. This caused cuts and scrapes on her face. We've tried leaving it on for a couple weeks at a time, and it dont bother her unless there is a lead on it while we walk her. Soooo, I'm thinking about trying some kind of choke collar or something similar to see if that slows her down and reduces her pulling against a lead. I was hoping some folks in here may have some experience with these types of collars, and if so do you have any suggestions? I appreciate any advice you can share. Thanks guys.
