Well, after seeing everyone imaginable posting pics about their bass, it was finally my turn to get in on the action. I took my little brother to a private pond about a mile away. It was cloudy with about 10 MPH winds and was about 45 degrees. The water at this pond was much clearer than I expected, so that kinda threw off my hopes of a crankbait bite. I tried a Poor Boys 3 1/2" tube in watermelon gold with no hits, but i noticed the bottom was pretty weedy. After throwing around a SK Bitsy Tube in GP for a little while, I got a feeling that drop shot just might be the way to go. So I tied on a DS with a Roboworm Hot Tip in Ehrler's Edge. I worked my way around the pond until i got to the side with the wind coming straight at me. After throwing around for a while I hooked something that I thought was a log because it wasnt really fighting at all. As it got closer to the bank I saw white and a head thrash. After swinging it onto the bank I called my lil brother over to take a pic. He was like "Whoa! Thats huge!" and all I could do was tell him not really and laugh. I ended with just that one but the cold trip and the long walk were well worth it.
Edit: Sorry I dont know why its sideways...
