Yes, finally, after all the stormy and very cold weekends of the past month, I'm getting back out on the water.
And boy I cannot wait. I have 8 combos rigged and ready. One with a jig, one with a swim jig, one with a spinnerbait, one with a soft 5" swim bait, one lipless crank and 3 crankbaits, shallow, med, and deep. I hoping to snag a couple pike as well as some nice bass. The map shows Flint Lake where I'll be fishing tomorrow. The bay to the lower right is a shallo0w pad filled bay that doesn't look like much but I just slayed the bass with the swim bait there last year. Gonna hit that hard. It's a great spot when it's windy which it is going to be tomorrow. The northeast portion of the lake often produces pretty well too. I've picked up several pike along the south western part of the lake in the past. The boats small but for our small lakes it works out pretty well, but as you can see, it gets crouded. I need a bigger boat, lol! It's a 12 footer extra wide jon with a MotorGuide 55# thrust motor on the back which is not in the pic. I'll let you know how I do tomorrow.
